Blood of Zeus: Everything to Know About the Season Finale

With his army that consists of Hermes, Apollo, Heron, and human warriors like Alexia, Evios, and Kofi, Zeus attempts to get back the unique cauldron from Hera. Olympus, as a result, is embroiled in the civil war. After many sacrifices on both sides, Heron accepts his place as the son of Zeus, leading to a fierce battle that redefines the fate of Olympus and the entire planet. Netflix’s Blood of Zeus takes us on this fascinating journey of sacrifice and betrayals, which is impossible to ignore.

The End of War

After growing tired of cheating by his husband Zeus, Hera assaults him brutally on the battlefield. However, she forgets that this gives the Giants an opportunity to attack them. She had not been respectful of the advice that Zeus gave that they can’t be trusted. It turns out her husband was right as their leader uses snakes to rip Hera apart. She realizes that her control on the cauldron that can trap the souls of the Giants is weakening. But Zeus sacrifices himself to protect Hera.

Seraphim realizes that this is the right opportunity for him to attack as he cuts Hera’s hand and takes the cauldron for himself. Aware that now he can control the Giants, he finally decides to fight with Heron. Although he is successful in impaling him with a sword, he soon realizes that Heron was intelligent enough to harness Zeus’s lightning to shove it through Seraphim.

Heron then becomes the successor of Zeus and shocks Seraphim. But when the fallen Giants attempt to squash them, he wills the souls back into life by putting his brother’s hand on the cauldron. The first season ends with Heron reuniting with Zeus’s sons as well as colleagues. Although it appears to be the end of all troubles, the final scene depicts some troubles that might be waiting in the second season.

Second Season

Seraphim is afraid of being doomed to hell in the underworld. Surprisingly, Hades and indicates that the bident was his, but he demands Seraphim to kneel. It appears that he wants to subjugate him just like Hera did. It is evident that Hades will use him as a puppet even though Seraphim doesn’t want to kneel. This scenario is in direct contrast to Season 1, in which Zeus taught Heron. It seems Hades wants to take control of the new Olympus, and there can’t be a better general for him than Seraphim.

Even in season one, Hades was seen pulling strings when he left his spear for Seraphim to wield Season 1. It might have been because he wanted to weaken Olympus before he decided to make his next move. Now, since Zeus is dead and Poseidon is recovering from the last battle, it is ideal for him to surprise everyone with an attack. He could seek the help of Seraphim in creating his army from the bodies of Giants. Since Seraphim already hates what the gods and Heron stand for, he can be easily convinced by Hades.

Season 2 will also allow Hera to redeem herself after she betrayed Zeus for people who turned on her. It will be of immense help if she stands by Heron through the coming storm, which would help her prove that she is a believer in duty. The upcoming season will be an interesting one, which will explore how Seraphim will avenge his loss while Hades attempts to get control of Olympus. Will Zeus’s successor be able to defend his kingdom? We will have to wait for that.
