Pokemon Sword and Shield: How to Unlock Galarian Star Tournament

Now that the Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra DLC expansion has arrived, it’s quite obvious that trainers will get new tournaments and challenges to play. Game Boy and Nintendo have made several improvements in the game, and adding challenges is one of them. The new DLC expansion has added a fresh new battle feature in the game, the Galarian Star Tournament. The following tournament allows the players to show their skills against other travelers of the game.

Trainers find it a cool new feature to battle and to sharpen their skills, but this feature isn’t available right away. Players have to finish the game’s main storyline and a few more extra tasks to unlock this feature to play.

This new Galarian Star Tournament will offer a whole different experience of battle to players. Trainers who want to try something new and challenge the game, the Galarian Star Tournament is perfect for them. This new feature is highly recommended by the expert players because both DLC expansion and main game players can participate. They can fight and team up with other trainers.

In Pokemon Sword and Shield history, this type of feature has never arrived, but developers promised their fans they will bring some surprising features. Developers promised their fans, and finally, they delivered it successfully. Unlike the Isle of Armor DLC expansion, the Crown Tundra DLC looks more challenging yet interesting.

As mentioned earlier, to unlock the Galarian Star Tournament, players have to finish the main storyline of the game first. Apart from the game’s main storyline, players also have to find and finish all Legendary Clues and track all footprints, respectively. This isn’t going to be an easy or short task, but players have to complete it to unlock the new tournament.

Once all the objectives and requirements are completed, players interact with Peonia inside the Dynamax Adventure Max Lair. While interacting with her, she will give clues about locating a certain Pokemon on Dynamax Adventure. Trainers can also interact with the scientist that is inside the Dynamax Adventure Max Lair.

After catching all certain Pokemon, Peonia will no longer provide clues to players, and then players can leave from there. After that, trainers will get a call from Leon that will ask the player to meet him in the stadium. After reaching the stadium and entering, the Galarian Star Tournament will unlock.

After entering the Galarian Star Tournament, players will have to create a team for a double battle against two trainers. Two vs. two trainer battles are always challenging but entertaining. There are two trainers in one team in the battles, but players can only operate one trainer at a time. The following partners that players can select are:

  • Bea
  • Bede
  • Gordy
  • Hop
  • Klara
  • Leon
  • Marnie
  • Milo
  • Mustard
  • Nessa
  • Opal
  • Raihan

So these are the trainers that can be the team member in the battle. Players can choose their Pokemon, but they can’t operate both of the trainers simultaneously. The competition between the two teams will be interesting.

The great thing about the Galarian Star Tournament is that it offers incredible rewards to players that include money, cosmetic items, and much more. However, to win all these rewards, players have to win from their opponent team. Ball Guy is the one that offers rewards in the tournament.

Conclusion

The Crown Tundra DLC expansion of Pokemon Sword and Shield is getting positive reviews worldwide. Pokemon Sword and Shield is available in almost every region of the world, which is why they have a huge fan base. The biggest excitement of Crown Tundra players was because of the new location, new Legendary Pokemon, and new challenges. Now that everything is going smoothly, fans are looking further for more exciting features.
