LG Stylo 6: Review for the Stylish Stylus

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly smartphone, LG has got you one of the most affordable phones perfect for its price. However, many reviewers mentioned that LG Stylo 6 is another boring rectangular phone, similar to all other existing smartphones. While others said that if you look closely, it seems a lot more than that.

The LG Stylo 6 has a massive 6.8-inch HD screen. Plastic is used for the side rails to make it look tough; however, they’re texturized to make them appear metal. The phone’s back body is crystal white, the same as Aura White of the Galaxy Note 10. Interestingly, you can see color reflections on the shiny surface at the back, depending upon how you hold the phone.

One of the perks is the width of the phone, which isn’t very wide. Instead, it has a tall structure. Additionally, it offers features like comfort view to keep away eye strain, font sizing, night mode, and much more.

A few features work a bit slow, as the fingerprint sensor when talking about the phone’s performance and battery. If you don’t use an app more often and open the same after a while, it can take a few seconds to launch.

An underpowered chipset is present, which you’ll notice while scrolling through web pages or gaming. These chipsets are not necessarily unusable, but it is likely to cause a blunder, especially when you’re not used to such phones.

The battery life offered by the LG Stylo 6 is exceptionally good. Some reviewers said that they charged their phone only twice or thrice a week, which means that you can go without charging your phone for a few days. Some phones continuously drain the battery even when not in use, but this LG phone performs incredibly at standby.

The Stylo 6 has a triple-rear camera along with a selfie cam. The triple-rear camera includes a 13MP shooter, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view, and a 5MP flight sensor. The front camera consists of a 13MP selfie cam. The ‘standard’ shots of the camera give you a sharp and edgy picture. Not only this, but the wide-angle shots are clearer than ever because of the high resolution. Talking about the front cam, close-up shots are pretty decent but struggles for bright lights.

Even if you’re not a stylus fan, the built-in stylus and software tricks will make you feel good, just the same as the S Pen with Note 9. Notably, the stylus that comes with the Stylo 6 doesn’t offer features like pressure sensitivity, laser pointer, and more, like the S Pen. However, many people don’t even use them. So, if you’re one of those looking for a subtle method for writing or doodling purposes, Stylo 6 is the one for you.

Additionally, Stylo’s software sends you notifications if you forget to stow the stylus to keep you from losing the same. The stylus is good at instant actions and can also take lock screen notes. Whenever you take out the stylus, a notification pop-up on your phone offering features like GIF capture, Draw chat, Screen memo, etc.

As all the features are already mentioned above, the phone is not recommended for people looking for a sound camera system and wants wireless charging. Also, if you want IP water and dust resistance to protect your phone, it’s not the one for you.

It is necessary to look for alternatives and compare prices before investing in a phone like this. If you have a basic requirement, you don’t have to go through much trouble before buying the same; however, if you’re looking for a premium option, it is advised to match your requirements first.
